Where it all started

The Heart of Jireh Nutrition

On March 18th, 2020, at the age of 21, Cynthia was miraculously healed of ovarian cancer. However, there was still a long road ahead of her. She carried the burden of navigating 2 autoimmune diseases that followed the cancer; one being rheumatoid arthritis. Due to her ailments, starting a physically demanding business was not ideal, to say the least. She continued to step out in faith to do what she believed God was calling her to do in this new business. Cynthia knew she could trust God to be her strength and get her through the days. It was not easy, at times she wanted to quit but God was calling her to a third journey of healing, her secondary health issues. Obesity and mental health.

January 2022, the breaking point. Obesity, aching joints, lack of strength, lack of rest, and a heavy cloud of depression that followed. Seeing an unrecognizable photo of herself, Cynthia stepped on a scale. Two hundred and eighty-five pounds. She was taken aback by the number she saw and knew there had to be a change. She couldn't continue in this lifestyle any longer.

Shortly thereafter, Cynthia, with the help of a holistic doctor, was given a new perspective on health and adopted a new understanding of the food God provides for the nourishment of our bodies. The days were hard as she tirelessly learned what foods triggered her autoimmune diseases. Through this, she continued to lean on God through endless prayer. She dreamed of having full mobility and strength in her upper and lower body. She wanted nothing more than to be present during her days instead of being consumed by the pain. Roughly 3 months into her health journey she noticed the pounds starting to shed off. This significant weight loss was enough to keep her going.

At her 6 month mark, she inadvertently hit a wall and fell back into her old eating habits. After a night of overindulgence in homemade cookies, her body reacted in a way she hadn't experienced before. Her painful swollen hands and arthritis were unbearable. This was her second breakpoint and it led her to a place of surrender to what needed to be done. After this, she began to have more self-control and consistency with her eating habits. Over a year and a half, she reached her goal and lost a total of 110 pounds. She gained the mobility and strength she prayed for as well as a significant decrease in inflammation and pain.

All throughout this time, Cynthia’s husband, family & friends were witnessing the transformation and being inspired every step of the way by what they were seeing. They began trying the recipes Cynthia would make and were loving them. As they enjoyed these recipes they also noticed the way the food made her feel afterward. Energized, fueled for the day, and satisfied with no negative side affects they had prior experienced. This was an affect they had never experienced from food before. Needless to say, they were intrigued and encouraged.

Finally, two years into her health journey, this lifestyle has changed her life for the better. Cynthia has learned firsthand the true purpose of the food that God has provided on the earth for our good. She wants to help point others towards the opportunity to experience what a difference this choice can make. A choice towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Cynthia’s heart is to serve others food thats nourishing to their bodies while creating a welcoming environment to hear their struggles and journey. This is only the begging of this story… Stay connected for more to come!
